In the AM and PM
classes, we re-enacted the story, Pete’s
a Pizza. Students acted out scenes from the story like the character, Pete:
they laid down like a pizza, stretched out, had “oil” (water) splashed on them,
had “cheese” (paper) sprinkled on them, and “baked” in the oven. Then they
stood up and “ran” away from me until the sun came back out to play ball (like in the story). If you haven’t read this book before, check it
out sometime! This was a great extension to the students making pizzas from this
