Fine motor
Thursday began yesterday! Every Thursday, we will be working on improving
students’ fine motor skills, which involves doing activities that use
the small muscles of the hand that enable such functions as writing, grasping
small objects, and fastening clothing. We will work on improving
students’ muscle strength and coordination.
Some activities we did yesterday were: 1) sketching pumpkins (which will
be on display at the Halloween parties), 2) beading, 3) rubber band stretching,
and 4) painting. Any of these activities
can be done at home too for extra practice! Enjoy the pictures!
