Dental Health Month

Since February is dental health month, we have been learning about the importance of taking care of our teeth. Here are some of the fun activities we’ve done to celebrate dental health month: 1) our dramatic play area is now a dentist office, 2) we’ve flossed away food in our teeth (string as floss, Playdough as food, and Legos as our teeth), 3) we’ve brushed “teeth” using real toothpaste and toothbrushes, and 4) we’ve had a pediatric dentist visit our AM class and a local dental hygienist visit our PM class. Learning Through Play

I’m so happy to be back teaching in preschool after having my baby boy in November! Since I’ve been back, we’ve done many exciting things! Here is a peek at what we’ve been up to in pre-k!

Halloween Fun

What a great turn out for Halloween! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents for attending the party, bringing supplies, and helping to make the preschool’s Halloween party a success! Although students were on a sugar rush from the enormous amount of food they had to eat J, I couldn’t be prouder of how well-behaved they were in both classes! What an amazing group of preschoolers I have in both my AM and PM classes!

Also, thank you for the surprise baby shower! I cannot say enough how blessed I feel to have such wonderful and supportive parents. To everyone who donated money or a present, your generosity and thoughtfulness is much appreciated! I’m one lucky teacher to not only have your child in class, but fortunate to have your support as well! J
